When I was 13, after years of begging, I finally convinced my mom to visit Cape Town, South Africa where she was born and immigrated from when she was 13.
Of course while we were there, we had to stay with family only, but it was an amazing trip.
I got to visit places like Betty's Bay (or Bettysbaai in Afrikaans), Muizenberg, Simon's Town, Robben Island and Franschhoek. I even got to go on a safari of sorts!
I can't wait until I can go back again. Hopefully when it's my birthday so I can have a big party to celebrate!
