TRAVELS & TRENDS: New York City, I love you

It was a school trip that I went on with my yearbook class and teachers, but my mom ended up meeting me there a week into the trip so we could stay longer. The trip was for a journalism workshop at Columbia University. I still like to say I attended an Ivy League school, even if it was only for five days.
One of the coolest experiences I had while I was there was going to see the Newsies broadway show and getting to interview three So You Think You Can Dance alumni -- Alex Wong, Jess LeProtto and Evan Kasprzak. It was the first interview I'd ever done and probably the most intimidating considering I didn't know any proper interviewing techniques.
Two other awesome experiences were getting to sit through a "live-taping" of Live! with Kelly while she was looking for a new co-host and waiting outside of Evita to see Ricky Martin walk out. He's got a very nice bum.
I could have spent hours walking through Times Square. I love the hustle and bustle of the big city.
The trip itself was so long ago, but I still remember almost every detail of it. Below are only some of the photos taken during my 10 day vacation.
